No.6 by ericfreitas No.6 by ericfreitas
I've recently purchased some off camera flashes for my camera, and I'm re-shooting most of my recent work. Here's the new pic. of No.6, shot on the tattered up victorian style wallpaper to match the rest of this new set of images.

Oh my. If i has this in front of me i would probably buy it off you on the spot, what a beautiful piece of craftsmanship! i have a small obsession with clocks (mainly mechanical ones) and i can't say how much i want this. I do a few questions for you though: First of all, does it work, as in is it a fully functioning clock? Also what is the clocks face made of? it looks from this pic like it mother of pearl... And lastly, do you sell them? And if so how much? mmmm <3 its wonderful. Clock making is such a lost art thanks for bringing it back some.

Thank you very much for the compliments!

This piece does indeed work. The face is actually paper, but it has been weathered, and waterlogged, and worn away to give it a decaying, aging feel. I do sell my work. This piece was sold over a year ago for $14,000. I actually really miss having this one in my house.

Right now I have a limited edition of 12, quartz clock for sale on my website: ericfreitas.com. Also, I'm currently building another mechanical piece, which I'm very excited about. That's a few months away still.

Thank you,
Eric

Wow, i really love mechanical clocks as the are the real deal arent they? i find it fascinating how all the gears can keep time. i have this dream that i probably wont accomplish, which is to one day create even a simple mechanical clock, made by me :)

Your clocks are truly fascinating, i did actually check out your website, and it amazes me how something so delicate and intricate can still hold all the gears to keep the time! The paper is very affective then! :( aw you should make a special one for yourself if you haven't already.

Your welcome,
Abbey
