wow that truly is an incredible piece of art!! I would love to get this tattooed down my forearm, would you be ok with that? I could include your signature or ericfreitas in creative writing somewhere and I would be sure to tell people that its of an actual clock! Please pm me cheers Jack
You're more than welcome to get a tattoo of my work. I'd be flattered! It's up to you if you want to include the signature, or my name; but it's not necessary. If you do get it inked, send me some good pictures, and I'll put it in the tattoo section of ericfreitas.com. Thank you!
so, I have to know how many hours did this clock take to craft? is the chain hand cut or water jet? and how much do you sell these for? much more than a pretty penny's my guess. exquisite work as always.
This one took over 400 hours to make. Everything is hand cut, no CNC. The chain alone took about 100 hours to make. The links were hand cut with a jewelers saw, and then sculpted with a foredom. The pins were made on my lathe. Altogether the chain consists of 1021 hand made pieces.
My quartz clocks (no gears) start at $1,000. The mechanical clocks, like this one, start at $10,000.
Kind regards,
Eric
